Job summary

final mile is seeking an experienced Leave Administration & Case Management professional to oversee FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and state leaves. You will manage complex cases, coordinate with HR, Payroll, and legal teams, and ensure timely communications with employees throughout the process.

The role requires multi-state experience, vendor management, and strong knowledge of federal/state leave laws. DOT considerations for drivers are part of the duties, with a focus on policy compliance and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience administering leave, disability, and accommodations in high-volume environments.
• Experience managing complex ADA accommodations and interactive processes.
• Experience with third-party leave administration vendors and disability carriers.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and state/local leave laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of leave programs including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, parental and other leaves.
• Facilitate intake of leave requests, provide notices and forms via vendor, oversee claims from initiation to return-to-work.
• Manage complex leave cases ensuring consistent policy and legal compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for employees, managers, HR, Payroll, Safety, Legal, and vendors.
• Coordinate return-to-work and fitness-for-duty processes, including DOT for drivers.
• Lead continuous improvement of leave administration programs.
