Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• College degree or equivalent of at least three years of work experience preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a disability or leave claims environment required.

Responsibilities

• Manage new, ongoing, and periodic State-Mandated Disability and Paid Family Leave claims within regulatory timeframes.
• Review documentation to determine benefit eligibility, duration, and payments.
• Make timely decisions to approve, pend, or deny claims per regulations and policies.
• Communicate with claimants, policyholders, employers, and healthcare providers to gather information.
• Accurately calculate and process applicable benefits and taxes.
• Maintain complete claim documentation and escalate complex cases as needed.
• Meet productivity, financial, and quality standards while maintaining a positive experience.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and support objectives.
