Protective in the United States is seeking a Paid Leave Claims Specialist to help claimants navigate important moments by delivering timely, accurate, and empathetic claim service. You will manage Paid Leave claims from initial review through ongoing administration, evaluating claimant, employer, and medical information to determine eligibility, claim duration, and benefits payable.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws on leaves of absence.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a disability or leave claims environment.

Responsabilités

• Manage disability and paid family leave claims from review to ongoing administration within regulatory timeframes.
• Review documentation to determine eligibility, duration, and benefits payable.
• Make timely decisions to approve, pend, or deny claims per regulations.
• Communicate with claimants, employers, and providers by phone and in writing.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and escalate complex cases to experts.
• Meet productivity, financial, and quality standards while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate across teams on claim issues and participate in process improvements.
