Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Leave of Absence Coordinator to deliver concierge-level service to employees, managers, and HRBPs through the leave lifecycle. This on-site role collaborates across HR operations and benefits to ensure accurate timing and compliance.

Based in Houston or other hubs, you’ll handle leave cases, advocate for employee experience, and partner with payroll and legal teams. Strong communication, confidentiality, and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in HR/Business management or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years in HR, shared services or HCM with disability leaves under laws incl. FMLA.
• Basic investigative and analytical skills.
• PHR and CLMS certifications preferred.
• Understanding of Canadian Leave of Absence preferred.
• Basic understanding of SAP, ServiceNow and AbsenceSoft.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence multiple levels of stakeholders.
• Experience in service delivery and process optimization.
• Detail oriented with strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leave concierge guiding employees through the leave lifecycle.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely information and updates.
• Maintain knowledge of current leave laws and company leaves.
• Use leave software to complete tasks from inquiry to return to work.
• Coordinate ADA processes with HRBPs and site stakeholders.
• Enter leave actions in SAP and manage pay adjustments.
• Coordinate tasks with payroll and other internal groups.
• Communicate with vendors to support disability claims.
• Share learnings and drive process improvements.
• Focus on continuous improvement to enhance employee experience.
