Job summary

CFS in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Leave & Benefits Coordinator to lead district-wide leave programs (FMLA, WA PFML) and manage return-to-work protocols, accommodations, and benefit continuation.

Reporting to the HR Director, you will oversee vendor relationships, interpret regulations, coordinate COBRA, and provide district-wide guidance to ensure compliant, employee-friendly programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience administering leaves and benefits.
• In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, WA PFML and benefit compliance.
• Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Leave Administration: Lead and administer district-wide leave programs including FMLA, WA PFML, and contractual leaves.
• Workplace Accommodations: Direct the interactive accommodation process under ADA guidelines.
• Benefits & COBRA Coordination: Administer benefits, manage continuation, COBRA, and vendor relations.
• Subject Matter Guidance: Advise on policies per regulations, policies, and labor agreements.
• Program Evaluation: Analyze utilization, trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Employee Communications & Training: Develop resources to improve understanding of leave rights and options.
