Job summary

Animal Care & Control Of NYC is hiring a Leave and Accommodations Administrator in a hybrid NYC role. You will manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves, coordinate accommodations, and ensure compliant handling of FMLA, PWFA, NYPFL, and related laws.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in leave and accommodations, strong confidentiality, and proficient use of HRIS and MS Office. Salary is commensurate with nonprofit sector, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5 years of experience in leave administration, absence management, accommodations, benefits, HR operations, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of employee leaves from initial request through return to work.
• Determine eligibility for federal/state/local leave programs and ensure notices are completed.
• Administer FMLA, Paid Family Leave, disability leave, workers’ compensation, parental leave, and other protected leaves.
• Manage reasonable accommodation requests under ADA/PWFA and NYC requirements.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and generate reports on leave utilization and trends.
