Job summary

Animal Care Centers of NYC seeks an experienced Leave & Accommodation Administrator to oversee leave cases from intake to return-to-work. You will ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and NYC protections while maintaining confidential records.

You’ll coordinate with payroll and benefits, support audits, and advise managers on best practices, with a hybrid schedule based at our NYC headquarters in lower Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 5 years of experience in leave administration, absence management, accommodations, and HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, NY laws, and NYC Protected Time Off.
• Experience with continuous, intermittent, and reduced-schedule leaves.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of employee leaves from request to return to work.
• Determine eligibility for federal, state, and local leave programs and ensure notices are completed.
• Administer FMLA, Paid Family Leave, disability leave, and other protected leaves.
• Manage reasonable accommodations and interactive process under ADA/PWFA.
