Job summary

Glendale Communities in Western New York seeks a dynamic Leasing Specialist to join our office team and drive resident placement for multifamily properties. You’ll handle tours, applications, leases, and move-ins with excellent customer service.

A 1–2 year background in leasing or related roles is preferred; strong communication and Fair Housing knowledge are required; a valid driver’s license is needed; weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leasing or customer service experience.
• Previous property management experience preferred.
• Friendly, personable demeanor.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Understanding of Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist potential tenants by showing units and conducting tours.
• Manage leasing process from application to move-in, including screening applicants and preparing leases.
• Maintain records in property management software.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
• Respond to inquiries by phone, email, or in person with excellent service.
• Coordinate with maintenance to address tenant concerns.
• Stay informed about local rental market trends and laws.
• Assist in creating and placing advertisements.
• Help prepare and deliver lease renewals.
• Assist in collecting and posting rent payments.
