Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Services in Chicago, IL is seeking a Leasing Agent to be the first point of contact for prospective residents. You will market available units, guide applicants through the leasing process, ensure documentation and compliance, and support a positive living experience while upholding community standards.

You will collaborate with the property management team to meet leasing goals, maintain occupancy, and adapt to local market conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of on-site property management or leasing experience.
• Experience in affordable housing programs (LIHTC, Section 8) strongly preferred.
• Illinois Real Estate Leasing Agent License within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents and present apartments professionally.
• Ensure all leasing activities comply with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and related laws.
• Conduct eligibility verifications and income targeting per program requirements.
• Complete leasing documents including applications, addenda, leases and communications.
• Enter and update applicant information in leasing software in a timely manner.
• Maintain reports on leasing activity and paperwork accuracy.
• Support marketing by organizing events, outreach, and market surveys.
• Assist with outreach marketing and monitor local market trends.
