Job summary

AMH is seeking a Leasing Agent in Irving, TX to serve as the primary sales representative for prospective residents and drive occupancy through consultative selling and lease conversion.

You will respond to inquiries, engage potential tenants, and negotiate lease terms while ensuring compliance with leasing laws and company policies. Prior leasing or real estate experience is preferred, and a valid real estate license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
• Outstanding communication abilities and analytical skills to solve problems.
• Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and deliver top-notch customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from prospective residents.
• Engage with potential tenants, offering insights into housing options to encourage applications.
• Negotiate lease terms and explain leases and related documents to new tenants.
• Perform leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize occupancy.
• Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to navigate applicants through the leasing journey.
• Stay informed about company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
