Job summary

AMH in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Leasing Agent to drive occupancy through consultative selling and lease conversion. You will present housing options, explain leases, and close leases while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 3 years in sales or customer-facing roles, and a State Real Estate License. Proficiency with MS Office and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of related sales or customer-facing experience.
• Leasing, real estate or property management experience preferred.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships; weekend work flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Drive leasing performance by responding to inquiries from prospective residents.
• Engage with potential tenants, present housing options, and encourage applications.
• Negotiate lease terms and explain leases and related documents.
• Ensure compliance with leasing laws and processes throughout the journey.
• Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to guide applicants.
