Job summary

Independent Management Services is seeking an organized administrative leasing specialist for SILVER MAPLE VILLAGE in Lapeer, MI. The role focuses on processing rental applications, reviews of credit, and supporting site operations on-site.

You will manage waitlists, prepare approval/denial letters, conduct move-in orientations, and coordinate move-ins/outs, while maintaining compliance with housing regulations and delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Basic office skills: typing, filing, telephone etiquette.
• Excellent follow-up via phone and email.
• Proficiency with Paycom and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Demonstrated attendance and punctuality in prior roles.
• Must adhere to Federal Fair Housing Laws.

Responsibilities

• Process rental applications and credit reports with recommendations to Site Manager.
• Maintain rental waitlist and prepare approval/denial letters.
• Conduct move-in orientation and review leases and house rules.
• Schedule move-ins/outs, applicant interviews, and key dates.
• Provide admin support: filing, answering phones, mail, data entry.
• Generate reports to aid in managing assets, expenses, and finances.
• Process payables and pay community expenses.
• Purchase and inventory office supplies.
• Handle delinquent accounts and report activity to Site Manager.
• Respond to resident requests and concerns; maintain professional relations.
• Report to Site Manager; onsite attendance required.
