Job summary

Southern Management Companies is seeking a Leasing Professional in Silver Spring, MD. You will drive leasing and resident relations, share a passion for sales, and meet occupancy targets while working weekends.

This role requires strong communication, marketing and organizational skills, plus experience in leasing, sales, customer service, retail or hospitality. Yardi experience is a plus; salary range is $18.00 – $25.38 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Manage the leasing process from first point of contact to move-in.
• Execute follow-up plan for future residents who do not rent on first visit.
• Meet or exceed traffic, application, move-in, wait list and conversion goals.
• Complete all leasing paperwork and processes per internal QC.
• Inspect apartments and the community to ensure product quality.
• Conduct new resident move-in orientations.
• Contribute to community engagement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Provide exceptional customer service, fostering positive resident relationships, and supporting the community's occupancy and retention goals. The ideal candidate is a motivated, customer-focused professional with proven sales experience and a track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals and sales targets. Strong communication, social media marketing, advertising, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role. Must be available to work weekends.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Our Leasing Professionals are brand ambassadors for our communities, bringing people and apartment homes together. They are energetic and compassionate individuals with sales expertise and a passion for building relationships.

This position requires working 2 Saturdays a month.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Encourage and build positive relationships with all team members, customers, and vendors
• Manage the leasing process from first point of contact to move-in
• Execute follow-up plan for future residents who do not rent on first visit
• Meet or exceed traffic, application, move-in, wait list, and conversion ratio goals
• Complete all leasing paperwork and processes per internal quality control processes
• Inspect apartments and the community to ensure product quality
• Conduct new resident move-in orientations
• Contribute to community/company engagement efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

What's required from you:

• Experience with Yardi products a plus

Pay Rate:

$18.00 - $25.38
