Role Description

The Leasing Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Chesapeake, VA. This position is responsible for greeting prospective residents, conducting property tours, and presenting apartment features and community amenities. Daily tasks include responding to inquiries, explaining pricing and lease terms, processing lease applications, and ensuring accurate completion of lease documents. The role involves supporting resident retention by providing responsive customer service, addressing concerns, and coordinating with maintenance and management to resolve issues promptly. The Leasing Professional also helps maintain up-to-date marketing materials, participates in outreach and resident events, and contributes to meeting occupancy and revenue goals through effective leasing practices.

Qualifications

• Strong resident-focused skills, including Resident Retention and Customer Service, with a commitment to fostering a positive living experience.
• Proficiency in leasing activities, including Leases and Lease Administration, with attention to accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with residents, prospects, and team members.
• Previous experience in property management, multifamily housing, or a related hospitality or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Chesapeake, VA, including some evenings and weekends based on community needs.
• Comfort with basic computer applications and property management or CRM software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple prospects, follow-ups, and resident requests.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, real estate, or a related field is a plus.
