Job summary

Capstone Real Estate Investments, LLC in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Leasing Consultant to interface with prospective residents, handle day-to-day issues with current residents, and coordinate lease renewals.

Under supervision of the Community Manager, Leasing Manager, and Assistant Manager, you will conduct applications, follow Fair Housing Standards, and work to lease apartments in line with budget. Training focuses on Fair Housing, closing techniques, and objection handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Professional and enthusiastic demeanor from sales/leasing/customer service experience
• Ability to communicate benefits of the community to prospects, parents, and university personnel
• Strong customer service, sales and negotiation skills
• Good communication and listening skills
• Ability to read and interpret lease documents
• Ability to be an effective team player and organized
• Ability to work weekends or overtime as required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, prospects and visitors to the community
• Effectively lease apartments in accordance with budget guidelines
• Follow Fair Housing Standards in all dealings with prospects and residents
• Conduct outside marketing under the direction of the Assistant Manager and Community Manager
• Coordinate the application review for each lease including credit and income verifications and background checks
• Complete lease packets and files for each resident including the lease, addendums and signatures
• Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including a final inspection
• Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms, promote the annual renewal campaign, manage lease renewals and complete lease documents
