Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete legal documents, sell and explain apartment features, and answer questions.
• Mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages in order to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information.
• Ability to apply sales skills, such as generating leads, conducting sales presentations, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
• Proficiency in word processing, property management applications (preferably Yardi), and spreadsheet management programs to complete required reports and employment documents.

Responsibilities

• Greets and qualifies prospects face-to-face, conducts property tours, shows apartments, processes applications, and coordinates move-in packages.
• Performs credit screening and background checks and ensures lease documents are prepared and signed.
• Inspects apartments before move-in and coordinates with maintenance to address issues.
• Develops and implements short- and long-term marketing plans to sustain occupancy and revenues.
• Executes offsite marketing activities, including internet marketing and referral programs to drive traffic to the property.
