Job summary

The Franklin Group is seeking a Leasing Manager for Cityside in Alexandria, VA. You will supervise leasing consultants and develop a leasing plan to attract new residents and retain current ones.

The role requires 3–5 years in leasing or property management, strong coaching and lease-closing skills, and the ability to supervise schedules and promotions. The position offers hourly pay with a base range and room for performance-based variation.

Qualifications

• Three – five years in leasing, leasing management, or property management.
• Strong coaching and training skills.
• Strong lease closing skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write business letters.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to businesses, residents, and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Develop programs to ensure occupancy goals are met or exceeded.
• Reviews and approves all new leases and renewals.
• Reviews all leasing consultant commissions and submits to the property manager for approval.
• Provides property manager with leasing and renewal information for monthly reports.
• Enter all leasing and renewal data into MRI/Onesite.
• Maintain the property’s leasing and renewal goal board.
• Inspect models and office area for cleanliness and appeal; walk vacant apartments to ensure readiness.
• Review guest cards for proper follow-up.
• Develops employee monthly work schedules to meet business hours.
• Plan and implement leasing promotions.
• Monitor concessions and specials for effectiveness.
• Maintain knowledge of leasing techniques and company policies.
• Assist Community Manager in resident retention initiatives.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances to the Community Manager.
• Assist with collection duties as directed.
