Job summary

Clear Investment Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Syracuse, NY to lead leasing and daily property operations for a distressed residential community. The role emphasizes leasing execution, occupancy growth, and strong resident relations while aligning with regional strategy.

Responsibilities include managing maintenance, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with on-site staff to improve performance and resident satisfaction. A hands-on leader with leasing expertise is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of multifamily property management and/or residential leasing.
• Strong hands-on leasing experience with ability to generate traffic, conduct tours, follow up with prospects, objection handling, and close leases.
• Experience with distressed, lease-up, or underperforming communities preferred.
• Proven ability to increase occupancy and improve property performance.
• Strong leadership including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Experience using property management software like Yardi Voyager or RentCafe.
• Solid understanding of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee daily property operations, ensuring compliance with policies and housing laws.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and preventive care; manage service requests and vendor relations.
• Monitor lease terms, community rules, and safety policies; address resident concerns promptly.
• Assist with supervising on-site team members and performance management.
• Actively participate in leasing: tours, applications, move-ins, and follow-ups; drive occupancy.
