We are seeking a Leasing Counselor to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed monthly sales standards for the community.
- Focus on “sales zone” activities, including face-to-face client visits, phone calls, follow-ups, and strategic planning for effective execution.
- Respond promptly to inquiries via telephone, email, online, and in person, conducting tours with prospective residents or interested parties.
- Maintain the community database accurately by recording inquiries, referral sources, and follow-up communications.
- Develop and sustain relationships with potential referral sources through ongoing visits.
- Qualify referral sources and match services to their needs to maximize referrals.
- Research local competition and market trends to stay informed.
- Create and oversee the annual sales and marketing plan, analyzing ROI and adjusting strategies as needed. Manage advertising and collateral materials.
- Track move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and referral activity to inform follow-up actions.
- Assist with move-in paperwork to ensure smooth transitions, complying with policies and regulations.
- Provide management with reports on sales efforts.
- Participate in sales training and apply techniques to increase census and revenue.
- Organize community events to attract visitors and prospects.
- Manage the department’s budget effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in senior living, including assisted living and memory care, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Background in sales or leasing within healthcare or senior living industry helpful.
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinking desired.
- Proficiency in relationship selling and closing skills.
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques preferred.
- Competence in:
- Building trust and connecting with clients and their networks.
- Managing emotions in client interactions.
- Guiding clients toward solutions.
- Customer service experience necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Sincerity and empathy in interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with openness and honesty.
- Proficiency in English and computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
