Job summary

Gates Hudson is seeking a Leasing Consultant for one of our residential communities in Reston, VA. You will greet prospects, present the community and available apartments, and guide tours to help close leases.

In addition to strong customer service and communication skills, you will handle inquiries, coordinate move-ins, and assist with marketing and resident events to support occupancy and satisfaction. Weekend tours are common and essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly with prospects and residents.
• Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet and tour prospective residents, qualify needs, and present the community and apartments.
• Highlight features, amenities, and benefits to support leasing goals.
• Proactively manage leads, document tours, and complete leasing paperwork.
• Review notices to vacate and retain residents.
• Answer inquiries and address questions in a timely manner.
• Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Keep leasing office and model units tour-ready and clean.
• Assist with planning resident events and engage the community.
• Weekend availability for prospect tours.
