Gates Hudson is seeking a Leasing Consultant - Tax Credit for one of our residential communities in Arlington, VA. The role emphasizes customer service, sales, and relationship-building to help residents find their next home.

You will greet prospects, present the community, manage tours, process leases, and support resident relations. Tax Credit experience and strong communication are required; weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Tax Credit experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and tour prospective residents, qualify needs, and present the community and available apartments.
• Highlight apartment features, amenities, and benefits to support leasing goals.
• Proactively manage leads, document tours, and complete leasing paperwork accurately and timely.
• Review notices to vacate and make every reasonable effort to retain residents.
• Answer incoming phone calls and in-person inquiries from prospects and residents.
• Address resident questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow up with residents on completed maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude and promote goodwill among residents, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.
• Ensure the leasing office, tour routes, common areas, amenities, and model units are clean, organized, and tour-ready.
• Walk vacant and rent-ready units to confirm availability and presentation standards.
• Conduct move-in and move-out inspections with residents.
• Consistently implement and uphold community policies and procedures.
• Stay informed on local market conditions and trends.
• Share ideas with the Property Manager to improve marketing efforts and resident satisfaction.
• Assist with planning and hosting resident events as directed.
• Weekend availability is required for tours.

What You'll Do

Leasing & Sales

• Greet and tour prospective residents, qualify needs, and professionally present the community and available apartments

What We're Looking For

Required

• ******Tax Credit experience ******
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly with prospects and residents
• Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail

Preferred

• Affordable / LIHTC / Section 8 / HUD are welcome as some skills translate to Tax credit
• Two or more years of leasing experience
• Previous customer service, sales, or hospitality experience
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment

Pay Range

$22—$24 USD
