Job summary

Foundation Communities is hiring a Leasing Consultant in Austin, TX to serve as the primary sales representative for the community. This full‑time role requires welcoming residents, guiding tours, processing leases and payments, and staying current on market trends.

A $500 signing bonus is available. The ideal candidate has sales or customer relations experience, fluency in English, and ideally proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Arabic, or Pashto).

Qualifications

• One (1) year of practical experience in sales or customer relations.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and proficiency in another language (Spanish, and/or Arabic, and/or Pashto).
• Fair housing training.
• Onsite software experience.

Responsibilities

• Presents a professional friendly office atmosphere while greeting prospective and current residents.
• Work generated leads in order to lease apartments and fulfill leasing and move-in goals.
• Conducts tours of the community and specific apartments with prospective residents.
• Maintains a consistent level of sales closings.
• Completes guest cards, sends thank-you notes, and follows up on every qualified prospect.
• Qualifies prospects according to Foundation Communities Criteria.
• Monitors local market trends and conditions, and updates property comparable once a month.
• Completes all new & renewal lease paperwork, collects initial deposits, fees and rental payments.
• Inspects models and vacant units daily to ensure readiness.
• Assists in keeping grounds clean, and reports community maintenance needs.

Salary: $19.12 Annually

Position Description: The Leasing Consultant acts as the primary sales representative for the community.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Presents a professional friendly office atmosphere while greeting prospective and current residents
• Work generated leads in order to lease apartments and fulfill leasing and move-in goals
• Conducts tours of the community and specific apartments with prospective residents
• Maintains a consistent level of sales closings
• Completes guest cards, sends thank-you notes, and follows up on every qualified prospect
• Qualifies prospects according to Foundation Communities Criteria
• Monitors local market trends and conditions, and updates property comparable once a month
• Completes all new & renewal lease paperwork, collects initial deposits, fees and rental payments
• Inspects models and vacant units daily to ensure readiness
• Assists in keeping grounds clean, and reports community maintenance needs.
• Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments
• Organizational and filing skills
• Possess knowledge of the specific programs relative to the property; including the gathering and verification of all documentation necessary to meet program compliance

Working Conditions

An occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials can be expected. May be asked to clean up bodily fluids with appropriate training and personal protective equipment provided.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the following functions are required:

FREQUENTLY: grasping/gripping, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, squatting, climbing, lifting/carrying between 11-20 pounds.

OCCASIONALLY: reaching above the shoulder, lifting/carrying over 20 pounds.

Compensation

$19.12 hour
