Job summary

Northwest Apartments in Seattle is seeking a Leasing Consultant to be the first impression of the resident experience. This full-time, non-exempt hourly role focuses on sales and customer service, with a track record of meeting leasing goals.

Your day includes tours, lead generation, qualifying inquiries, scheduling showings across multiple buildings, and guiding residents to select their next home. A reliable vehicle is required for daily field work.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Leasing experience in multifamily properties or similar.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals.
• Excellent communication skills.

The Company:

Northwest Apartments manages a large portfolio of diverse rental properties & apartment buildings ranging from historical vintage to modern, in the city of Seattle. We pride ourselves on providing our residents with well-appointed apartment homes at a fair market rate. Currently we own and operate over 1800 apartment homes in the Seattle area. To join our team, this position centers around leasing in our Seattle Portfolios on Capitol Hill. Our central corporate office is located in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle.

Position:

The Leasing Consultant is the first impression to the resident experience. Do you have a passion for sales and customer service? Do you like to work independently? Would you take pride to consult with people in selecting their next home? This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to work for a locally owned, family-oriented company. The job requires reliability, high energy, and a friendly positive spirit. This is a sales position. Must have leasing experience with proven ability to meet sales goals. This is a non-exempt Full-Time hourly position.

The Work Schedule Details:

40-hour work week in non-exempt, full-time, hourly position. The work week is Sunday through Thursday. Business hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Must be flexible to work a different schedule if, at times, it is needed.

Wage

Our leasing professionals are compensated with a competitive hourly rate, plus a commission structure.

Responsibilities:

• Take potential residents on a tour of available apartments to fill vacancies by leasing units.
• Generate new leads through various marketing efforts.
• Qualify leads, schedule showings, travel to multiple buildings to show units.
• Consult with people to help them in selecting their next home.
• You are the contact for the new resident to handle move-in with them.
• Take pride in your rental properties by attention to unit and curb appeal.
• Attend meetings to gain and share knowledge.
• Conduct business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other pertaining to apartments.

Requirements:

• Must have own vehicle with current insurance and driver license required, as position requires travel in the field daily.
• 2 years of Leasing experience, in multifamily properties, preferred.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals.
• Ability to work both independently and with the team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and multitask.
• Detail-oriented, able to perform various tasks in a timely manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technology applications.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer comprehensive compensation and a benefits package, that includes:

Wage - $25 hourly.

Lease Commissions are paid at $50 per lease for 4 or less, or $100 per lease when 5 or more are achieved in a reporting week. Achieve 20 move ins per month for an extra $500 monthly bonus.
