Job summary

MAA is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Chesapeake, VA to support leasing operations at a vibrant apartment community. You will greet prospective residents, highlight the value of living at a MAA property, and guide applicants through the lease process to secure agreements.

The role requires strong customer service and sales experience, plus familiarity with apartment regulations. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, hospitality, customer service or leasing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of apartment management laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with prospective residents and communicate the value of living at a MAA community.
• Secure lease agreements and initiate screening of prospective residents.
• Communicate lease expirations and facilitate renewals.
• Assist with property marketing activities and resident events.
• Support leasing operations and the financial performance of the property.
