Job summary

MAA Benton is seeking a friendly Leasing Consultant to join our team in Port Wentworth, GA. You will engage with prospective residents, present community amenities, and guide applicants through the leasing process to close leases.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in sales or leasing, strong customer service, and proficiency with MS Office. The role includes marketing support and coordinating resident events, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, and/or leasing.
• Familiarity with apartment management laws and regulations preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Interact with prospective residents and communicate the value and experience of living at a MAA community.
• Secure lease agreements and initiate screening of prospective residents.
• Inform residents of lease expirations and facilitate renewals.
• Assist with property marketing activities and plan resident events.

The Leasing Consultant supports the leasing operations and financial performance of an assigned apartment community for MAA. Primary responsibilities include interacting with prospective residents, communicating the value and overall experience of living at a MAA community, and securing lease agreements. Initiates the process to screen prospective residents. Communicates lease expirations and facilitates lease renewals. Assists with property marketing activities and resident events.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, and/or leasing
• Knowledge of apartment management laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• High school diploma/GED, Bachelor's degree preferred
