Job summary

The RMR Group LLC is seeking a Leasing Consultant to support leasing, retention and occupancy goals at a Tampa community. You will greet prospects, present features and benefits, and ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the rental process.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays. Prior leasing experience and familiarity with YARDI are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior leasing and/or property management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills providing for effective communication with residents, employees, peers, vendors, owners, etc.
• Excellent attendance is a requirement of the position.
• Excellent customer service.
• Work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Positive attitude and highest level of professionalism.
• Bi-lingual abilities may be required based on specific needs of property.
• Preferred computer software experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, YARDI.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents and professionally present the features and benefits of the property.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and all laws pertaining to Multi‑Family Housing.
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Provide a professional and friendly atmosphere in the leasing center/clubhouse.
• Inspect models and market readies for quality before showing.
• Relay incoming calls to appropriate contacts.
• Understand local competition and market trends.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain active guest cards and follow up through decision time.
• Inspect the property regularly and report deficiencies.
• Assist the Property Manager in preparing reports and market surveys.
• Maintain Resident Files per company policy.
• Process Leasing Applications per guidelines.
• Oversee Lease Renewal Program to optimize renewals.
• Exhibit excellent level of customer service.
• Plan and oversee resident activities with the Property Manager.
