Bender Companies, an owner-operator specialized in value-add multifamily properties in the Midwest, seeks a Leasing Consultant for our Steger community. You will drive occupancy by guiding prospects through the leasing process and delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires strong communication, sales focus, and knowledge of leasing laws. On-site work, with base pay of $18–$20 per hour plus commission and renewal incentives, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Leasing Consultant or sales role is required.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Customer-first mindset with rapport-building abilities.
• Knowledge of local leasing laws and fair housing regulations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Professionally present available apartments through tours and calls.
• Collaborate with the Community Manager to attract and qualify tenants.
• Market vacant units using online listings, social media, and events.
• Explain features, pricing, and lease terms to prospects clearly.
• Guide prospects from inquiry to signed lease and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of the local rental market and trends.
