We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leasing Consultant/Resident Service Coordinator for our Affordable Housing Community, ThinkEast Apartments, in Austin, TX, comprising 181 units.

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description Summary

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing community apartments and assisting tenants with their needs. Responsibilities include meeting prospective tenants, explaining lease terms, processing security deposits, coordinating with tenants on lease changes, and promoting the business.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones, provide leasing information, schedule tours, and assist residents with requests.
• Welcome and show prospective residents the property, explain the application process, and prepare move-in packets.
• Review and explain lease details, community policies, and HUD/LIHTC program information.
• Walk with residents during move-in to complete inventory sheets and obtain signatures.
• Handle resident service requests and concerns.
• Send community and resident letters with manager approval.
• Ensure proper screening, lease signing, and timely collection of fees and rents in compliance with HUD/LIHTC regulations.
• Maintain a neat office environment and follow up on work orders.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 1-2 years of related experience or training in residential services, customer service, or sales.
• One year of LIHTC/Affordable housing experience.
• Experience in marketing, sales, and customer service.
• Proficiency with Bluemoon, Yieldstart, and Yardi (CRM, Voyager, P2P).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Availability to cover leasing office on weekends as needed.
