Job summary

Fortis Property Management is seeking a Leasing Consultant to help lease apartments at Lexington on the Green while maximizing rent and delivering superior resident service. You will show available units, provide pricing information, and follow up with prospects to move them toward applications.

The role requires knowledge of the local market, effective communication, and a customer-focused approach. This full-time, hourly position emphasizes teamwork and a strong sales mindset in a community

Qualifications

• Prior leasing/sales experience preferred.
• Experience in multifamily lease-up phases preferred.
• Proficiency with social media preferred.
• Knowledge of property management software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Show apartments
• Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits
• Accurately quote prices
• Follow up on all prospects
• Thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties
• Thorough knowledge of the surrounding community
• Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects
• Provide superior customer service
• Collect money (deposits, rents, etc.)
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy
• Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program
• Inspect apartments for readiness
• Adherence to Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures
• Distribute move-in packages
• Other duties as delegated
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and ADA policies

Position Overview:

The focus of the Leasing Consultant is to lease apartments while achieving the highest effective rent levels possible and maintaining a strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy. You assist in your community's goal to effectively and efficiently lease the property, while also promoting excellence in resident customer and service.

Job Description/Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Show apartments

Knowledge of and adherence to the following:

Experience

• Prior leasing/sales experience is strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a multifamily lease-up phase strongly preferred
• Proficiency in social media preferred
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio)
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Supervision Received:
