Job summary

Fortis Property Management is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Raleigh, NC to lease apartments, maximize rental income, and deliver outstanding resident service. You will show units, answer questions, and quote rates while maintaining a professional image.

This role rewards proactive follow-up, strong communication and organizational skills, with a supportive team and a competitive commission/bonus structure.

Qualifications

• Experience in leasing or sales is preferred.
• Experience with multifamily properties is preferred.
• Ability to interact with people effectively.

Responsibilities

• Show apartments to prospects.
• Provide information to prospects by phone and in person.
• Accurately quote prices.
• Follow up with prospects.
• Know the surrounding market and properties.
• Ensure all application paperwork is collected.
• Deliver superior customer service.
• Collect deposits and rents.
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy.

Position Overview:

The focus of the Leasing Consultant is to lease apartments while achieving the highest effective rent levels possible and maintaining a strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy. You assist in your community's goal to effectively and efficiently lease the property, while also promoting excellence in resident customer and service.

Job Description/Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Show apartments
• Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits
• Accurately quote prices
• Follow up on all prospects
• Thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties
• Thorough knowledge of the surrounding community
• Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects
• Provide superior customer service
• Collect money (deposits, rents, etc.)
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy
• Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program
• Inspect apartments for readiness
• Adherence to and proper implementation of all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures
• Distribute move-in packages
• Other duties as delegated

Knowledge of and adherence to the following:

• Fair Housing policies and procedures
• ADA policies and procedures

Experience

• Prior leasing/sales experience is strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a multifamily lease-up phase strongly preferred

Supervision Received:

The Leasing Consultant will report to the Community Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
