Shea Properties is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the on-site management of a California apartment community. The role focuses on leasing operations, data input, reporting, and adherence to California Civil Code and Shea policies.

The candidate will assist in pricing, marketing, and coordinating move-ins with the Community Manager. Responsibilities include staff supervision, budgeting support, processing notices, and maintaining tenant and vendor records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property management experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial role.
• Strong written and spoken communication; ability to supervise and coach staff.
• Experience with data and reports; budgeting understanding.
• Knowledge of marketing concepts and Fair Housing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead leasing staff and manage day-to-day office operations.
• Oversee data entry in property management software and related reports.
• Prepare notices and manage rent-related communications under policy.
• Support budgeting, capital and operating plans for the property.
• Recruit, hire, and train leasing staff; conduct annual reviews.
