Job summary

1st Lake Properties in Metairie, LA is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager for Crossroads Apartments. You’ll welcome future residents, lead tours, coordinate move-ins, and help create an exceptional living experience for our community.

The role involves coordinating with maintenance, handling inquiries by phone, email, and in person, supporting leasing journeys, and assisting with marketing events. Prior sales, hospitality, or property management exposure is a plus; AppFolio experience is

Qualifications

• Background in sales, customer service, or hospitality (property management experience is a plus!).
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Experience with property management software (AppFolio is a bonus; training available).
• A positive, goal-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for helping people.
• Flexibility to work an occasional Saturday when needed.

Responsibilities

• Give engaging tours to prospective residents.
• Coordinate make-ready with maintenance and vendors to ensure move-in readiness.
• Be the friendly voice and face of the community, handling inquiries.
• Guide residents through the leasing journey from application to move-in day.
• Build lasting relationships and help create a welcoming community.
• Support marketing initiatives, resident events, and community outreach.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and Fair Housing regulations.
