1st Lake Properties in Metairie, LA, is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a 108-unit community in the heart of Metairie—Premises apartments. You will lead leasing, maintenance, and resident relations while ensuring compliance and outstanding curb appeal.

The role requires strong leadership, stellar communication, and a customer-service mindset to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction. Training and career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in property management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of leasing and apartment operations.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions.
• Experience overseeing property maintenance is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AppFolio is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
• Respond to questions and resolve concerns with professionalism and care.
• Inspire and work closely with maintenance and leasing teams to keep the community running smoothly.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
• Oversee property maintenance, coordinate repairs and capital improvements, and maintain outstanding curb appeal.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure high standards are met.
• Maintain accurate resident, lease, and financial records.
• Market available apartment homes and drive occupancy.
• Build lasting relationships with residents to increase satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare reports and monitor community performance metrics.
