Job summary

IDP Properties is seeking a Leasing Agent to manage daily occupancy operations in person. You will walk the property, coordinate maintenance, and handle inquiries from prospects while documenting activity in the management system.

The role requires reliable transportation and adherence to a standard 8am–5pm schedule, with confidentiality in handling resident information and files. Experience in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe the condition of the apartment complex and facilities.
• Arrange maintenance, repairs and improvements.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Answer calls from prospects and record on the Daily Traffic Report.
• Post and update data in the property management system.
• Ensure HUD/LIHTC compliance where applicable.
• Assist other office personnel as directed.
• File all completed work orders and other filing duties.
• Work hours set by the Regional Manager (8am–5pm).
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and resident files.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Expected hours: 40 per week.

Job description

The leasing agent reports directly to the Property Manager. The leasing agent reports to work at his/her regularly schedule work hours. The leasing agent must be able to "walk" the property on a regular and as-needed basis to perform his/her job duties. Must have the physical capability to walk all around the property, including stairs. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Specific Responsibilities

1. Observe the condition of the apartment complex including buildings, grounds, tenant units, and all other facilities.

Arrange for appropriate maintenance, repair, and improvement of the same.

2. Must maintain a valid driver's license.

3. Answer the telephone; answer calls from prospects and record on the Daily Traffic Report.

4. Post collections to the computerized property management system.

5. Maintain the computerized property management system with up-to-date data entry.

6. If applicable, ensure resident files comply with HUD standards, LIHTC, and/or other Government-sponsored programs.

7. Assist all other office personnel as directed.

8. File all completed work orders.

9. Complete any other filing duties assigned.

10. Work hours are set by the Regional Manager. Scheduled work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. NO CHANGE WITHOUT SUPERVISOR'S APPROVAL.

11. Maintains the confidentiality of all personnel and resident files.

Also, the Leasing Agent will perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Property Manager or other supervisors.
