Job summary

APG in Avondale Estates, GA is seeking a Leasing Agent to be the first point of contact for prospective residents, market available apartments, and lead tours to guide applicants through the leasing process. You’ll help the community meet occupancy and leasing goals and maintain accurate records in the property management system.

Responsibilities include processing rental applications, preparing lease agreements, and assisting current residents with retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to build relationships with prospects and residents and close leases.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Leasing Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective residents and a trusted resource for current ones. You’ll market available apartments, lead tours, guide applicants through the leasing process, and help the community meet its occupancy and leasing goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Market available apartments and respond promptly to prospective residents.
• Conduct property tours and follow up with leads to secure new leases.
• Process rental applications according to APG’s written screening criteria, applied consistently to every applicant.
• Prepare lease agreements.
• Maintain accurate records in the property management system.
• Assist current residents and support resident retention efforts.
• Ensure the property is presented professionally.
• Meet occupancy and leasing goals.
• Comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, sales, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with prospects and residents, follow up on leads, overcome objections, and close leases.
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
