Job description

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for effectively leasing apartments within the multifamily community. In addition to leasing activities, they assist management with resident programs, administrative tasks, and resident retention strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Greet, qualify, provide tours of the community, and present features and amenities to prospective residents.
  2. Lease apartments: close sales, secure lease agreements, obtain required information, and process applications for approval (rental history, credit check, background check).
  3. Follow up with prospects regarding their status.
  4. Accurately and promptly input information into computer systems.
  5. Ensure apartments are ready for residents to move in on the agreed date.
  6. Assist the manager in collecting delinquent rents.
  7. Assist in planning resident functions.
  8. Gather information about market competition in the area.
  9. Follow Bridge policies and procedures, and comply with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws.
  10. Follow all safety procedures and report hazards to supervisors.
  11. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships quickly.
  2. Leasing, sales, and closing skills.
  3. Competence in using standard office equipment including telephones, Internet, fax, and photocopiers.
  4. Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  5. Strong work ethics and adaptability to change.
  6. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 6 months service industry experience.
  3. Willingness to perform occasional outside duties in all weather conditions.
  4. Compensation: $20/hr.

  • Paid parental leave after six months of employment: 4 weeks as primary caregiver or 2 weeks as secondary caregiver; after two years, 12 weeks if primary caregiver.
  • Tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually, subject to conditions.

For candidates working in Anaheim, California, the anticipated wage is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, plus potential monthly performance-based commissions. Final compensation depends on experience, education, and other factors. Bridge Investment Group is a multi-state employer; pay scales may vary by location.
