Job summary

TREK Development Group is seeking an engaged Lease-up Compliance Specialist to support active lease-up for PBRA-assisted and LIHTC & HOME regulated properties in Pittsburgh. The role ensures that applications, certifications and resident files are processed accurately and are audit-ready under HUD, PHFA, investor, and Trek standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of affordable housing compliance experience, strong knowledge of LIHTC/HOME/PBRA/HUD requirements, and excellent organizational

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with LIHTC, HOME, PBRA and HUD eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct LIHTC/PBRA eligibility interviews in accordance with HUD & PHFA requirements.
• Process applications through a third-party compliance department from intake to approval.
• Prepare and submit initial and final RPC submissions and address deficiencies as needed.
• Provide organized compliance files and documentation to investors.
• Organize and maintain resident files using Trek checklists and internal standards.
• Ensure all files are complete, accurate and audit-ready always.
• Prepare resident files for full PHFA file audits, including internal pre-audit reviews.
• Support audit responses and resolve compliance findings.
• Collaborate with leasing and property management teams during active lease-up.
