Job summary

RigUp, Inc. is seeking a Lease Operator/Pumper to oversee daily operations at oil and gas lease locations. You will monitor wells, perform inspections, and adjust processes to maximize production while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate wells, tank batteries, and production equipment on lease locations.
• Perform daily inspections of pumping units, separators, tanks and related equipment.
• Record daily production volumes, pressures, and equipment readings.
• Adjust operations to optimize production and meet target parameters.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication and minor repairs.
• Coordinate chemical treatments and monitor safety and regulatory compliance.
• Gauge tanks and coordinate with transport/pipeline for product movement.
• Respond to alarms, outages, and emergency situations promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
• Identify and report malfunctions and conduct leak detection and repairs.
• Maintain housekeeping standards at lease locations.

Job Description:

The Lease Operator/Pumper is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities and lease locations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant production operations while maximizing well performance and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate oil and gas wells, tank batteries, and production equipment on assigned lease locations
• Perform daily inspections of wells, pumping units, separators, tanks, and associated equipment
• Record and report daily production volumes, pressures, and equipment readings
• Adjust well operations to optimize production and maintain target parameters
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, minor repairs, and equipment adjustments
• Monitor and maintain chemical treatment programs for wells and facilities
• Gauge tanks and coordinate with transport/pipeline operations for product movement
• Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports and documentation
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditions
• Conduct leak detection and repair activities
• Maintain housekeeping standards at lease locations

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 years minimum experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and perform manual labor
• Willingness to work on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
