Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, mechanically inclined Production Technician with a growth mindset who enjoys a dynamic, hands‑on, field‑based work environment. You will be responsible for working in the field with other teams to perform repairs, perform preventative maintenance on existing equipment, diagnose issues, conduct root‑cause failure analysis, pre and post‑job reviews, handle contractor work, collect data / validate conditions, and investigate customer/3rd party issues.

Responsibilities

Gauge production on assigned wells and record gauge readings, downtime and other pertinent well information into the production system.
Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; grease pumping units, service lease equipment, etc.
Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells; monitor chemical use; test safety systems daily to maximize production.
Utilize SCADA to monitor and evaluate well performance and facility status, respond to SCADA alarms if required.

Requirements

Three plus years of experience in oil and gas or other manufacturing/industrial business.
Understanding of the oil and gas industry.
Capability to troubleshoot and repair industry components such as level controllers, displacement valves, switches, controls, pumps, vessels, and flare systems.
Artificial lift knowledge regarding gas lift compression, ESP’s, and rod pump.
Comfortable working with high pressure systems up to 3,000 psi.
