Job Title: Lease Operator / Pumper (Night Field Operator)

Job Description

The Night Field Operator will be responsible for maintaining assigned leases during night operations. This role requires understanding flow paths, troubleshooting and fixing equipment alarms, and multitasking between issues while working with the shift team to solve problems and keep production online. The operator must be able to diagnose issues through remote surveillance tools and have a plan of action prior to arriving on location. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Plan, update, and oversee all activities within assigned areas of responsibility
• Maintain detailed notes of events during the shift with special emphasis on health, safety, and the environment
• Support and encourage team effort between shift coworkers
• Provide input and review control specifications and work practices
• Apply and follow work permits through Permit To Work System (PTWS) as discussed in the Work Management Manual
• Develop personal and team technical skills (for example, new regulations, equipment, methods, and others)
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment alarms and operational issues
• Utilize remote surveillance tools to monitor and diagnose problems
• Collaborate with shift team to keep production online

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Associates degree preferably enhanced by related technical school courses

Experience

• 5-7 years minimum experience in oil & gas industry

Technical Skills

• Meets the safety, administrative, and technical training requirements associated with this position as documented in operations-approved training roadmap
• Possesses the general competencies and Operations Integrity Critical competency requirements as documented and maintained in Operations Training roadmap
• Computing skills: Competent with Microsoft Office, Email, and navigating computer surveillance tools

Job Details
