Job summary

RigUp, Inc. is seeking a Lease Operator/Pumper to operate and monitor oil and gas production facilities at assigned lease locations in Texas. The role emphasizes safe, compliant, and efficient production with focus on maximizing well performance.

You will perform inspections, record data, troubleshoot equipment, respond to alarms, and maintain documentation. Must be able to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, and reside within 1.5 hours of the location.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in oil and gas operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond after hours.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate oil and gas wells, tank batteries, and production equipment on assigned lease locations.
• Perform daily inspections of wells, pumping units, separators, tanks, and associated equipment.
• Record and report daily production volumes, pressures, and equipment readings.
• Adjust well operations to optimize production and maintain target parameters.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, minor repairs, and equipment adjustments.
• Monitor and maintain chemical treatment programs for wells and facilities.
• Gauge tanks and coordinate with transport/pipeline operations for product movement.
• Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports and documentation.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditions.
• Conduct leak detection and repair activities.
• Maintain housekeeping standards at lease locations.
