Acara Solutions is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support cash, fixed assets, intercompany, accounts payable, payroll, time and labor, and leases. You’ll prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses to drive accurate financial reporting and client outcomes.

The role emphasizes applying GAAP and internal controls, supporting audits, and leading automation initiatives to improve processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required at minimum.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or indicated.
• CPA/CFA/CPP or CMA designation is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, reporting schedules, and variance analyses across multiple accounting areas.
• Evaluate financial data, agreements, reports, and other information to determine appropriate accounting treatment and identify trends or improvement opportunities.
• Apply GAAP, internal controls, SOX, ASC 842, and ASC 360 in day-to-day accounting activities.
• Support internal and external audits and explain accounting policies and practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, and provide coaching to team members.
