Job summary

WorkGenius Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist focused on Lease and Fixed Asset Center of Excellence. You will support global lease and asset activities, drive SOPs, and coordinate with stakeholders across Legal, Real Estate, FP&A, and IT.

Strong US GAAP and SOX knowledge is required, with IFRS as a plus. You will work with SAP S/4, SAC, Excel, and lease management systems to ensure accurate month-end close, depreciation, and capital expenditures, while contributing to process improvements

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX regulations; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with lease accounting, fixed assets, cloud implementation costs, capitalized salaries, reconciliations, depreciation, and impairment analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4, SAC, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and lease management or accounting systems.
• Understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and experience working with global teams and operating models.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, analytical, organizational, prioritization, and process-improvement skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the transition of global lease and fixed asset transactional activities, including lease schedules, journal entries, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
• Assist with standard operating procedure development, global control execution, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Legal, real estate, payables, FP&A, Treasury, IT, facilities, and other global stakeholders on lease and fixed asset accounting matters.
• Support lease management system administration, including data quality, discount rates, foreign exchange interfaces, user access, process efficiencies, and related disclosures.
• Perform or review month-end close, asset capitalization, impairment assessments, contract accounting evaluations, project-spend reporting, and capital expenditure workflow administration; provide coverage for the COE Manager as needed.
