Job summary

A commercial property management company in Virginia Beach seeks an experienced Lease Analyst to join the Lease Administration Team. This critical role involves preparing lease abstracts, reviewing financial reconciliations, and performing financial analyses to support property managers and clients. The ideal candidate should have over 4 years of experience in commercial real estate, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. Qualifications

• 4+ years commercial real estate experience (Real Estate Accounting preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with complex lease language.
• Working knowledge of legal documents including lease agreements.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Working knowledge of YARDI preferred
• College courses in accounting/finance a plus
• Must pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed lease abstracts and interpret commercial lease language.
• Review and process Operating Expense reconciliations ensuring lease compliance.
• Financial analysis including computing cost analysis and account reconciliation.
• Project income recoveries for annual budgets.
• Maintain Rent Rolls and all financial billings per lease terms.

Overview

Due to our rapidly expanding Commercial Real Estate portfolio, we have immediate openings for experiencedLease Analystsin our Virginia Beach, VA office. This is an integral Team Member on our Lease Administration Team providing First Class Service to our Property Managers, Brokers, and Clients for a commercial property portfolio.

The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter with commercial property experience, strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and superior organizational and time management skills, enjoys working independently as well as collaboratively with accounting and property management team members. This position requires a candidate who takes initiative and provides accurate, detailed work products in a time-sensitive manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed lease abstracts, interpret and research commercial lease language,
• Review and process Operating Expense reconciliations (CAM, taxes, insurance, and utilities) ensuring lease compliance,
• Financial analysis to include computing cost analysis, variance, and account reconciliation,
• Project income recoveries for annual budgets,
• Maintain Rent Rolls and all financial billings required per lease terms.

Qualifications

Successful Candidate will possess the following:

• 4+ years commercial real estate experience (Real Estate Accounting preferred) or any similar combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical skills, logic and experience with complex lease language
• Working knowledge of legal documents including lease agreements and amendments
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Working knowledge of YARDI preferred
• College courses in accounting/finance a plus
• Must pass background and drug screening
