Job summary

Rotary Learning Technology Supervisor in Evanston, IL leads distance learning for Rotarians at club, district and international levels through Rotary’s LMS. The role collaborates with staff and volunteers to plan and produce distance learning to advance learning initiatives.

The position requires 2–4 years in learning technology, LMS knowledge, instructional design, and potential for supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two to four years related job experience in learning technology.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred, or demonstrated leadership potential.
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
• Knowledge of instructional design.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
• Facilitation skills for in-person and online learning.
• Experience managing live webinars.
• Experience analyzing data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Adaptability to take risks and learn from outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Establish LMS strategy and structure.
• Consult with staff to determine learning needs and develop technology strategy.
• Know all LMS functionality.
• Analyze report data to inform decisions.
• Serve as main contact with LMS vendor and product manager.
• Maintain knowledge of LMS technologies and support RFP/implementation efforts.
• Oversee learning materials for internal and external audiences.
• Directly supervise one coordinator.
• Assist on LMS contract renewal and budgeting discussions.
• Occasional weekends/evenings as required.
