Job summary

UL Solutions, a global leader in safety science, is seeking a Senior Technical Training Specialist in Illinois. The role focuses on planning, developing, and delivering technical training for UL products, standards, and emerging technologies to external clients.

The position emphasizes LMS administration (Absorb), project management, and instructional design across technical domains, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals. Hybrid work with three days in-office is offered.

Qualifications

• Some University education in Training, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with instructional design and LMS administration is beneficial.
• Strong MS Office proficiency and familiarity with digital learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead local/regional/global training projects with minimal guidance.
• Develop yearly training calendars with leadership.
• Create training items in Absorb LMS and assign to individuals or groups.
• Ensure Absorb LMS effectiveness aligned with business needs.
• Evaluate training and adjust programs based on outcomes.
• Identify risks and manage schedules for multi-project efforts.
• Partner with sales/marketing to identify training needs.
• Create technical education materials across formats and support client engagements.
• Manage vendor relationships: timelines, deliverables, budgets.
• Build relationships with associations and government entities.
• Create Purchase Orders and Statements of Work.
• Follow UL Code of Conduct and security practices.
• Perform other duties as directed.
