Job summary

North Bend High School, part of the North Bend School District, seeks an Educational Assistant to support teachers in MLC, Life Skills, and ATP programs. You will work with students individually or in groups, prepare instructional materials, supervise students, and help implement classroom discipline.

The role requires an Associate's Degree or two years of college, or successful completion of the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree or 2 years of college or passing the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment test.
18 years of age or older.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking with students and staff.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences.
Provide feedback on student performance and testing activities.
Instruct students in group or one-on-one settings, often without direct supervision.
Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
Monitor classroom management per district procedures.
Supervise students to ensure a safe environment.
Perform clerical tasks and maintain student records.
Assist with emergency drills and large group activities.
Read to students and participate in oral/reading activities.
Assist with discipline following district procedures.
