Job summary

North Bend School District is seeking an Educational Assistant at North Bend High School to support learning at the Middle Learning Center. The position is 10 months, 6.5 hours per day, with hourly pay between $18.37 and $21.99.

The Educational Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed teacher, help prepare instructional materials, supervise students, and assist in implementing classroom discipline.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2 years of college (72 quarter hours) or passed the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment test.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences.
• Assist in instruction of students individually or in groups, often without direct supervision.
• Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
• Monitor classroom management per district procedures.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, and play periods.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain student records.
