Job summary

Connex Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with primary-aged pupils with SEN and SEMH across Bath schools. You will provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, helping children overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people.
  • Experience with SEN or SEMH or related needs.
  • Passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
  • Patient and empathetic; able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Confident supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, reliable and adaptable to different school environments.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity.
  • Understanding safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Learning Support Assistant – SEN / SEMH

Location: Bath

Rate of Pay: £95–£115 per day

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning? Connex Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with primary-aged pupils with SEN / Special Educational Needs and SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across schools in Bath.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, empathetic, and confident supporting children with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils build confidence, develop positive relationships, and engage with their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to primary-aged pupils.
  • Support pupils with SEN / Special Educational Needs and SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Job Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience working with SEN / Special Educational Needs or SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs is beneficial.
