Qualifications

• Special Education license is required.
• Experience working in an urban environment is required.
• Reading license is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, or Haitian Creole preferred.
• Ability to collaborate on a professional team and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with lead teacher to support optimal learning environment for students.
• Co-plan lessons with academic teachers to support student learning.
• Provide push-in and pull-out support as designated by students' IEPs.
• Write IEP goals matched to student needs.
• Write IEP progress reports.
• Attend all IEP meetings as required.
• Support RTI for at-risk students and track progress.
